A few years ago, our hospital closed. Families in Tulare had to drive miles just to reach an emergency room. That was the moment I knew I couldn’t sit on the sidelines. I’ve spent over 20 years working in healthcare — in emergency medicine, operations, and finance — and I understood exactly what had gone wrong and what it would take to fix it. I ran for the healthcare district board because Tulare deserved better than mismanagement and broken promises. As Treasurer, I’ve helped strengthen our finances, push for real accountability, and move construction forward step by step. We’re not where we need to be yet, but we’ve gone from crisis to rebuilding. I’m running again because I want to finish what we started — for every family in this community who deserves a hospital they can count on.
Every family in Tulare deserves care close to home. I'm committed to rebuilding local healthcare capacity step by step; protecting our hospital campus, supporting emergency and ambulance services, and working towards the day Tulare has full hospital services again. Access isn't just about buildings - it's about making sure no one has to drive an hour for emergency care.
Tulare’s healthcare district lost the public’s trust after years of mismanagement and bankruptcy. As Board Treasurer, I’ve pushed for stronger financial oversight, supported independent audits, and insisted on transparency in every decision we make. Rebuilding trust means showing our work — openly, honestly, and consistently — so residents can see exactly where their tax dollars go.
A strong local healthcare system needs a strong local workforce. I want to help create real pathways for Tulare residents — especially young people — to train for and build careers in healthcare right here at home. That means supporting recruitment, workforce development, and partnerships that bring opportunity and talent back into our community instead of losing it elsewhere.
